Misc

Well everyone, I think we are pretty much caught up.  I went through our photos to make sure we didn't miss anything and besides Disneyland Paris, I think I've blogged all our adventures thus far.   Thanks to everyone who is reading and staying caught up with us while we're gone.  We miss you all and can't believe we've already been here six months.  Time is flying by.   My job is still going well and we have GREAT news on Nate's job situation.  He got a job at the end of October working for a car dealership as a salesman.  I am very proud of him and was confident he would be able to find something when we got here.  Luckily it only took him a few months and he is happy with this move in his career.  He's also taking Master's classes at a local University, so he is staying busy with that too.   Oh, and he does horse riding lessons :)

Hali's still working hard at horse riding and gets better with each lesson.  Her determination on this horse riding thing amazes me and she literally has no fear when she gets on the horses.  We are very proud of her.  She's also taking swim lessons throughout the week and is getting much better at that too.  Not much new with Siena except that's she getting bigger and talking more each day.  She's got a ton of personality and is a pure joy.

Our next adventure will be the Christmas markets in December and then Dublin, Ireland when the DeVolder clan gets here.  I hope I'll be able to post sooner next time.

Love and miss you all!

Here's some pics I liked that were never put into any blogs-

Halloween 2014

A lot of people asked us what we planned on doing for Halloween and whether or not it was the same over here.  Well I can't speak for all of Germany, but for the neighborhood we went to, it was just like it is at home.  Tons of kids and tons of houses handing out candy.  There were also a lot of houses decorated for the festivities.  Hali dressed up as Sleeping Beauty and Siena was a Halloween cat.  Siena got the hang of it really fast and was running up to houses, putting her bucket out, took the candy, put the bucket out again, got more candy, then said thank you and walked away.  It was adorable.  The girls got a ton of candy and even got to spend time with their friends.  Our last stop was at a co-worker of mine's house who the girls are getting close to so they enjoyed seeing her too.  It was all in all a great first Halloween in Germany.

She was proud :)

Zurich, Switzerland

After our overnight in the Black Forest, we drove to Zurich, Switzerland for the next couple days.  We tried to see as much as we could in two days- enjoy!

The girls are ready for their zoo day- Siena in her zebra shirt and Hali in her horse shirt. :)
We saw a bunch of different animals that we've never seen before so that was pretty cool.

I love moments like this where I don't even have to tell Hali to do this- she's such a good big sister!

Siena wants to tell everyone Hallo!!

Si Si did not want to take a family pic.

Opa and Nic went with us on our zoo trip :)

 Another great slide!

 Siena was our tour guide

This was probably the coolest elephant enclosure we have ever seen.

After the zoo, we went took the train up Uetliberg Mountain and took some great pictures.  The train gets you about halfway up the mountain and then some of us climbed to the top.  The views at the top of the mountain were breathtaking.  We got to see the entire city of Zurich.  AMAZING!

The next day we went to Hollgraten to see some caves

Then on the way back Nate saw a small river so obviously he has to take his pants off and get in!
 It was FREEZING!!

Then Hali and Mommy wanted to join in on the fun.
