Sunday Funday

We decided to venture off and take the train to downtown Kaiserslautern. It was a 15 minute walk and then a 30 minute train ride so it was fairly easy.  All German shops are closed on Sundays, but most restaurants stay open.  So we walked around downtown and ate at a really good Italian restaurant.  Thankfully we just downloaded Google translator because Adelle almost ordered squid salad.  Then we ordered dessert and thought we were getting a chocolate milkshake but instead got iced coffee LOL.  But that's okay, it all worked out!  The language barrier is tough at times, but it is really motivating us to learn German.  And we have already learned quite a few words.

Both of us take our driver's test in the morning so wish us luck!  Once we pass that and get our car, we will really feel like we can get settled in here.  It's hard having to rely on other people to take us everywhere we need to go, but thankfully Brandon has been an excellent sponsor and friend and has graciously taken us to everything and been a huge blessing to our family.

Here's some pics from downtown:

Oh and more exciting news for today- We found a house!!! The plan is to move in on July 1st.  We are going to wait to post pictures of the house until everything is 100%.  But for a preview- here's the lake that is about a block from the house!  So we really hope everything goes smoothly and we are able to get it!

Love and miss you all!
