We landed in Germany about 7:30 a.m. local time on Monday. The flight went pretty good, Siena got a little fussy for about 45 minutes when trying to fall asleep, but didn't make a peep the last half of the flight. So we have all made it safely, including our boys, Pepper and Lucky. Brandon, a co-worker of Adelle's picked us up at the airport and helped us get to our temporary lodging house. We then went to get some lunch and some needed necessities for the home. After that we were all exhausted so we took about a 3 hour power nap.
Brandon and his wife Andrea were gracious enough to provide us dinner so we were able to heat that up to eat when we woke up, which we are so thankful for. Then, Hali wanted to go for a walk and explore the town. It is absolutely beautiful here. There are lots of rolling hills and beautiful landscape and the little towns are really amazing. However, the cars drive really fast and the sidewalks narrow and disappear randomly, so that will take some getting used to. But we are hoping to find some trails and wooded areas to walk in once we get our car.
The next couple of days are going to be really busy for us, trying to get all of our ducks in a row, and trying to settle in. We will try to take some pictures of our temporary lodging (its really nice) and the town that we are staying in and get them posted soon!
We already miss our family and friends a ton, but are really excited for this adventure. Also, a lot of people asked how to get a hold of us now that our cellphones are no longer in service. We will both be checking our emails regularly and you can also email us if you want to set up a time to Facetime with us.
